Please pick up prizes at the front office at MBE.  They will be open Monday-Thursday from 8am-3pm.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to launch our Summer Reading Challenge featuring the exciting and imaginative book:
Mr. Lemoncello’s Very First Game by Chris Grabenstein!

Each student will receive a copy of the book to enjoy over the summer. To keep minds active and imaginations soaring, we are asking students to read 2 chapters per day (approximately 15 mins. per day) throughout the summer.

To make this experience even more fun for the whole family, every 7 days, a Family Game Challenge inspired by the book will be posted to the MBE website. These creative and interactive activities are a great way to enjoy quality time and keep the spirit of the story alive at home.

Let us know you're joining the fun! Send an email to arhodes001@horrycountyschools.net with your game response/results, and your family will be entered into a drawing to win a Family Fun Pack Prize to Fun Warehouse, Stars and Strikes Bowling, or Myrtle Beach Bowl.

HCS Summer Reading is a “Game Changer” log may be used to record your progress.  Two chapters equal one book.  See additional prizes on the log!

Rising 6th graders will not use the reading log. They will complete some of the choice board activities for extra credit next school year.

We’re excited to see our students and families reading, playing, and growing together this summer. Thank you for your support in making reading a family adventure!
